Based in London and trained at the Royal College of Art, Frances Wadsworth-Jones' creates jewellery to surprise and delight the inquisitive eye.

For her ‘Workers' pieces, featured at ‘Platform', Frances has embraced computer modelling and rapid prototyping technologies to replicate the insect world at its own scale, creating mischievous narratives by realising the kind of intricacy that is not possible to achieve by hand. Her ‘Butterfly Clip' similarly employs computer technology, in this case the mass production processes used to make stationery, in a playful attempt to make contemporary jewellery affordable and accessible to a wider public.

Combining paradoxical allusions to and irreverent breaks from tradition with a quietly subversive sense of humour, Frances Wadsworth-Jones' jewellery is a celebration of the detail and of all the unexpected possibilities it may hold.
