HAYLEY KRUGER
Having grown up in Southern Africa, the influence of lush grasses and tropical flowers are ever present in my work. While my BA Hons degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing, and my years of working as a costume jewellery designer for many of the high streets most recognisable names, has given me in depth training in all aspects of the business. Now more than ever, I appreciate the freedom and the pleasure that my work brings me.
My signature material is luxurious suede, which gives my pieces a tactile quality and helps to emphasise a bold look of luxury. As well as the influences from the place of my child hood, South Africa, the essence of the profiles is driven by strong female icons in history and popular culture such as: Joan of Arch, Barbarella, Cleopatra and Miriam Makeba.
