Taya Shakouri is a textile jewellery designer-maker based in Coventry, working with several materials including PVC and vintage fabrics.
Taya has a degree in Interior Textiles and soon moved into design for jewellery when she graduated.
Taya's jewellery reflects psychedelic pattern influences. Her pieces are designed around organic form and composition as well as pattern and repetition.
The colours are fresh and bright, the designs are fun and exciting. All of her pieces take on a sculptural identity which makes them unique and innovative.
The PVC range is made using a combination of PVC fabrics of different weights and some pieces incorporate brightly coloured beads.
The jewellery in the Vintage range are all created using recycled materials, some of them would have started their life as a 1960's pillowcase. All these pieces are unique, one off designs.
